Chapter 10 - The Song of Freedom (HAPPY ENDING)

The sun was setting in a blaze of gold, pink, and deep violet over the cliffside estate in Amalfi, Italy.

Soft string music drifted through the air, mixing with the gentle rustle of palm leaves and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks below. White roses covered the marble aisle that led to a cliffside altar overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

Elena stood in front of the mirror inside the bride’s suite, wearing a breathtaking, lace-embroidered white wedding dress that trailed gracefully behind her. Her dark hair was styled in soft waves, adorned with tiny white orchids.

A soft knock sounded at the door.

Arthur Vance stepped inside, dressed in a sharp tuxedo. His eyes softened with deep fatherly pride as he looked at Elena.

"You look stunning, my dear," Arthur said softly, offering her his arm. "Are you ready?"

"More than ready," Elena smiled, taking his arm tightly.

Outside, guests from all over the world stood up as the wedding march began to play. Standing at the altar was Gabriel, looking impossibly handsome in his dark suit, his eyes gleaming with tears of pure joy as he saw Elena walking toward him.

Walking right in front of Elena was eight-year-old Aria—a bright, beautiful, happy girl with a brilliant smile, dropping rose petals along the path.

When Elena reached the altar, Gabriel took her hand, whispering softly, "You take my breath away."

"You gave me my breath back," Elena whispered back.

The priest began the ceremony. "We are gathered here today to unite two souls who have proven that love, strength, and unwavering devotion can overcome the darkest storms..."

As Gabriel and Elena exchanged their vows, promising to love, honor, and protect each other through every chapter of life, Gabriel knelt down on one knee in front of little Aria.

He pulled a small velvet box from his pocket, revealing a tiny silver necklace with a heart-shaped charm engraved with her name.

"Aria," Gabriel said, his voice thick with emotion. "I didn't just fall in love with your mom; I fell in love with the privilege of being your father. I promise to protect you, guide you, love you, and stand by you for the rest of my life. Will you do me the honor of letting me be your dad?"

Aria threw her arms around Gabriel’s neck, hugging him tightly as tears of joy spilled down her cheeks. "Yes! Yes, Dad!"

The entire crowd erupted into applause and happy tears.

Gabriel stood up, pulled Elena into his arms, and kissed her deeply beneath the golden Italian sunset.

That evening, as the reception turned into a celebration of music, dancing, and laughter, Elena stood on the balcony overlooking the sea, holding a glass of champagne. Gabriel walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, resting his chin gently on her shoulder.

"What are you thinking about?" Gabriel asked softly.

Elena looked down at Aria, who was laughing and dancing with Arthur on the lawn below, her laughter ringing out clear and free into the night air.

Elena smiled, leaning back against Gabriel’s chest, feeling the steady, warm beat of his heart.

"Eight years ago, someone locked a door on me and thought my life was over," Elena said softly, turning her head to kiss Gabriel’s cheek. "They thought they were leaving me in darkness. But all they did was push me into the light."

Gabriel smiled, kissing her forehead. "To our new beginning."

"To our forever," Elena replied.

The ocean breeze blew softly, carrying away the ghosts of the past, leaving behind only love, freedom, and a future brighter than the stars above.
