Chapter 10 - The Master of Moretti Estate

One year later.

The grand ballroom of the Moretti Mansion was filled with light, music, and the joyful chatter of over two hundred guests.

It was the most grand event the city had seen in a decade—the wedding of Alessandro Moretti and Emma Bennett.

The room was decorated in white orchids and silver ribbons. Local business leaders, city officials, dockworkers, and former rivals stood together, raising their glasses in toast to the couple who had united the city in peace.

Emma stood near the grand staircase, wearing a breathtaking gown of silk and lace, her hair styled in soft waves that cascade down her back. Beside her stood Alessandro, looking impeccably handsome in a dark tuxedo, his arm wrapped securely around her waist.

Standing beside them as the maid of honor was five-year-old Lily, wearing a matching white dress, holding a small basket of rose petals in one hand, and holding Daisy the doll in the other.

Marco and Rocco stood near the front doors, wearing tuxedos, looking proud and vigilant, though both carried lighthearted smiles.

"A toast!" Rocco announced, raising his glass high. "To Mr. and Mrs. Moretti! May their home always be filled with peace, love, and plenty of noise!"

"Hear, hear!" the crowd roared, raising their glasses in unison.

Alessandro looked down at his beautiful bride, his heart fuller than it had ever been in his entire life.

"Ready to go outside?" Alessandro whispered in her ear.

"Always," Emma smiled.

They walked out onto the grand balcony overlooking the sprawling estate gardens, bathed in the soft silver light of a full moon.

Below them, the perimeter security gates were closed, guarded by loyal men, but inside the walls, there was no fear, no secrets, and no hidden cameras.

Lily ran out onto the balcony, leaning against the stone balustrade, looking up at the stars.

"Look, Mommy!" Lily pointed up at a shooting star streaking across the dark sky. "Make a wish!"

Alessandro pulled Emma close against his side, resting his hand over hers on the stone railing, watching the star fade into the night.

"I don't need to make a wish, sweetheart," Alessandro said softly, looking at his wife and daughter with complete, unshakeable devotion. "Everything I ever wanted is already right here."

And as the music from the ballroom drifted out into the warm night air, the Moretti estate stood tall and proud—no longer a fortress of shadows, but a sanctuary of love that would endure for generations to come.
