To permanently escape their shadow, I decided to sell my apartment and relocate to a quiet suburban neighborhood outside Columbus.

As the moving truck packed up our belongings, Arthur called with good news. The judge had officially signed a permanent five-year restraining order against my parents and Vanessa. They were forbidden from coming within 1,000 feet of me, Lily, her school, or my business.
