One year after that fateful night at the Royal Palms Plaza, Blake organized a grand gala to celebrate the official opening of the Foundation’s flagship sanctuary.
The grand ballroom was filled with genuine friends, community leaders, and philanthropists. Soft orchestra music filled the air, and warm golden lights reflected off the floor.
Blake stood at the podium, holding his glass high as the room grew quiet.
"A year ago," Blake began, looking directly into my eyes, "someone tried to push my wife into the dark. But they forgot that she is made of light. She took her pain and turned it into hope for thousands of people. To my brilliant, strong, and beautiful wife."
The room erupted into genuine, heartfelt applause. I stepped up to the stage, taking Blake's hand. As I looked out over the warm, welcoming crowd, I felt no trace of the cold fountain water or the humiliation of the past.

Blake leaned down and kissed me tenderly amidst the cheers.
