Chapter 19 - The Rebuilding

Two weeks later, the Bedford estate had been completely restored. The scars of the battle were repaired; the gardens bloomed with fresh lilies and white roses.
Inside the grand sunroom of the estate, friends, family, and community members gathered for a very special occasion.
Dr. Sterling stood by the piano, playing a soft melody. Nine-year-old Leo, looking handsome in a small suit, was proudly holding his baby sister Elena, who giggled happily in her brother’s lap.
Vincent stood at the head of the long dining table, wearing a crisp navy suit. Beside him stood Celia, looking breathtaking in an elegant ivory lace gown.
"Two years ago," Vincent addressed the room, holding up his glass of sparkling cider, "I thought my life was defined by dark alleys and endless shadows. I believed that love and peace were luxuries meant for other people."
He looked at Celia, his eyes burning with unconditional love.
"Celia showed me that the strongest man isn't the one who can inflict the most fear... but the one who has the courage to protect his family with love and justice."
The room applauded warmly.
Tommy raised his glass. "To the Romano family! May their reign of peace last forever!"
"To family!" the crowd echoed.

Celia walked over to Vincent, slipping her hand into his. "You know, Mr. Romano... you're getting quite poetic in your retirement."
Vincent laughed softly, pulling her close. "Only because I have the best teacher in the world, Mrs. Romano."
