Chapter 10 - A New Dawn

Exactly one year after the infamous scene in the kitchen, Easter Sunday arrived once again.
The sun shone brightly over Margaret’s estate. There were no champagne towers, no gold-plated silverware, no high-society cameras, and no toxic ambition.
Instead, the long wooden table in the garden was filled with laughter. Sitting around the table were Margaret’s real friends, long-time neighbors, and several families Margaret had helped through her pro-bono legal clinic.
At the head of the kitchen stove stood Daniel. He was carefully stirring the rosemary sauce, using his mother’s old recipe book.
Margaret stepped into the kitchen, watching him from the doorway. He turned, smiled warmly, and offered her a spoon.
"Taste test, Chief," Daniel said with a warm grin. "Tell me if it meets the family standard."
Margaret took the spoon, tasted the sauce, and smiled radiantly. "It’s perfect, son. Absolute perfection."

Together, they carried the dishes out into the sunlit garden. Margaret sat at the head of the table, looking out over the people who truly cared for her, flanked by a son who had finally grown into a honorable man.
The estate was no longer a battleground of greed; it was a sanctuary of peace, dignity, and true redemption. Margaret raised her glass, looking at the clear spring sky, knowing that the storm had passed and her home was finally, truly hers.
