Chapter 16 - Norah's Stand
Back at the penthouse, Norah felt a terrible knot in her stomach. Gabriel wasn't answering his phone. Suddenly, Marcus rushed into the room, his face pale. "Mrs. Costa, the corporate servers just detected a catastrophic fund drain. And Gabriel's GPS tracker just went dead."
Clara ran in next, holding her tablet. "Norah, Victoria Bianchi just called a press conference at the municipal court for tomorrow morning. She’s announcing a hostile takeover of Costa Global."
Instead of breaking down, a profound, icy calm washed over Norah. She looked at her son sleeping peacefully in his crib, then looked at Clara and Marcus.

"Gabriel spent his whole life being the shield for everyone else," Norah said, her voice steady and fierce. "It's my turn to protect him. Marcus, get the security team ready. Clara, I need you to find the legal loophole we discussed last month. We are going to bleed Victoria's accounts dry before the sun comes up."
Using her own authorized co-founder credentials, Norah initiated a legal freeze on all Costa Global assets, trapping Victoria’s stolen money in a temporary escrow account before it could leave US jurisdiction.
