The next morning, the grand hall of the New York Municipal Court was packed with reporters. Victoria Bianchi, confident that her lawyers would secure her release on bail, walked in with her head held high.
However, she didn't expect to see Gabriel Costa standing at the podium, looking immaculate in a dark navy suit, his bruises covered by makeup, with Norah standing proudly by his side.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the press," Gabriel announced, his voice booming through the microphone. "For the past week, Costa Global has been cooperating with the FBI and Interpol in a sting operation. We have successfully uncovered an international money-laundering network operating out of Europe, led by Ms. Victoria Bianchi."
